We are happy to announce Shahar Binyamini’s Gaga and repertoire workshop for professional dancers and advanced dance students in Singapore. 24-28 February 2020.
Shahar Binyamini is no stranger to Singapore. Most importantly, he keeps returning after creating several dance pieces with Frontier Danceland. Shahar designed a dedicated workshop for dancers and recent graduates who desire to expand their understanding of Binyamini’s repertoire and Gaga movement practice.
Firstly, every day will start with a Gaga class in order to prepare both body and mind for a productive and original day. Secondly, everyone will be invited to learn a different section of PARADISO created for Frontier Danceland in 2018 (video link below). This workshop is ideal for those looking to take Gaga class for five consecutive days while learning a professional repertoire dance piece. Each day will finish with an improvisation session and to conclude; a networking space to meet like-minded dancers.
Finally, the last afternoon of the workshop will include an informal presentation session in the studio. Shahar is looking forward to welcoming dancers from all over Asia. In addition to his choreographic work in Europe and USA, he has created choreography for companies across Singapore, Japan and South Korea. To sum up, this is the chance to connect with new dancers in the studio across a dedicated week of training and learning.
